THORIUM Hoody Ribbed Down Jacket

The Arc’teryx Thorium Hoody (formerly known as the Thorium AR Hoody) is a midweight, versatile goose-down hooded jacket within the Thorium series. Positioned as a durable standalone piece, it excels in cold, dry conditions when worn alone or as an insulating layer beneath a hardshell. Compared to the lightweight Cerium series, it prioritizes abrasion resistance, durability, resistance to light moisture, and everyday/urban usability. Hailed as an “all-around durable down powerhouse,” it excels for mountaineering, skiing, hiking, and urban winter commuting.
Insulation: RDS-certified 750-fill gray goose down (approx. 140-150g fill) provides excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. Moisture-prone areas (shoulders, cuffs, hood, underarms) utilize Coreloft™ synthetic insulation (Down Composite Mapping™ technology) for consistent warmth even when wet.
Fabric: Outer shell in Arato™ 30 or 40 nylon—lightweight, durable, windproof, and mildly water-resistant (DWR coating). Lining incorporates bio-based materials for enhanced sustainability.
Weight & Packability: Men’s size M approx. 400-450g. Compresses into its own inner pocket for easy portability.
